How far is this house from the beach?

This is a very common question about Myrtle Beach Real Estate.

The homes closest to the beach will be East of Business 17 in Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Garden City, Pawleys Island, Litchfield, or Murrells Inlet.

Other locations within these areas, East of the Waterway but west of 17 Business, may be 10 to 15 minutes from the beach.

Socastee, Little River, and Carolina Forest homes can be 20 to 30 minutes (drive time) from the beach.

Conway homes can be 25 to 45 minutes to the nearest beach.

Most other locations, like Longs, Aynor, Galivants Ferry, or Loris will be 45 minutes or more from the nearest beach depending on exactly where the property is.

To use a golf cart for your beach trips, your home or neighborhood entrance must be no more than 4 miles from the beach. A South Carolina golf cart permit is also required. Golf carts may be driven on any public road where the speed limit is 35 mph or less and can only cross major highways at traffic light intersections. The golf cart must be operated by a licensed driver when on public roads and cannot be operated after dark.

Click the map link to display the map and use the zoom out "-" button on the map to zoom out until you see the coastline. Depending on the source page, there is usually a scale in the bottom right corner of the map that will help you judge the actual distance to the beach.
